Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) High School Speech Analysis

These activities push students to not online examine the rhetoric of a speaker, but also to think about the purpose of education in their own lives. MLK's speech, "The Purpose of Education," is informative and very thought provoking. This lesson provides everything you'll need to push students to analyze a text as well as think critically about a relatable topic. I've even added an extension activity that you can use with a TED talk!
